ELEANOR TALLIE STEINBERG

      Born and raised in Israel, Eleanor Tallie Steinberg has been performing and giving workshops for JCCs, Temples, Summer Camps, and Jewish Federations all over the country, since she moved to the US in 2013.

 

      This vocalist, songwriter, performer, recording artist, and multi-instrumentalist has been active both as an artist in the Jewish community, as well as a Neo-Soul artist who writes her original music and tours, under the name “Eleanor Tallie.”

In the last five years, Eleanor has toured Europe and the US with over 250 shows to date in 35 states.

 

      Growing up in an Israeli family, which is half Middle-Eastern, and half Canadian/European, has inspired Eleanor’s music from a young age. With a mother whom is a classical pianist, and who’s encouraged Eleanor to play classical cello herself since the age of 7, as well as being raised with Middle Eastern Jewish prayers and traditions from her father’s family, have all created an impactful and unique influence on Eleanor’s music.

 

   Her background, combined with Eleanor’s love of American Soul, Jazz, R&B and more, have generated a live show comprised of her original music in English; original Hebrew songs and covers; and Middle-Eastern inspired Jewish prayers and melodies she grew up on.

      Eleanor showcases her dynamic musical abilities while fusing the two sides of her global Jewish identity (Ashkenazi and Sephardic) into one unforgettable experience.

 

      This multi-cultural background has also inspired Eleanor to focus her workshops on the connection between Israeli music and North-American music. With workshops on songwriting, vocal development, personal growth through music, and an array of other musical topics, Eleanor delivers a flexible variety of content to every workshop, all tailor-made to fit any audience and/or local community’s needs.

 

   Eleanor is backed by a group of top-tier musicians for her full band live performances, whom have accompanied her for the past 2 years.

    Eleanor often plays unaccompanied on piano as well, which can be seen on her “Eleanor Tallie Steinberg” Youtube page. She is currently booking performances and workshops for 2019.
